Current Even 2

On Tuesday December 10th, 2019 two people entered a Kosher supermarket and killed 4 people, two innocent victims and the two attackers,. While those acts are terrible things like this keep happening and instead of trying to do something to decrease the number of hate crimes we talk about it. Sources say, from The Washington Post, that there will be a higher police presence in the jewish community where those people were killed, but what about so many other communities who are being attacked and terrorized. I am not saying that any group of people deserves this more or even any individual but what I am saying is that there should be equal protection across all people who face descrimination. As a nation I feel as though we focus more on talking about what is wrong with this world than trying to help it. Although this can bring awareness to what is happening in the world we get to a point when all we are doing is talking about it. Saying there is an issue and we need to face it is just the first step. What happened to those two innocent people was unjust and terrible but as a community we need to more than just talk about these issues and discuss new ways to face these issues because what we have been doing has not done much. Not to invalidate the work of others but we have tried the same thing over and over so something needs to change.
